(VAN) From 3/11 to 5/11, for the first time in Lai Chau, a cultural festival event for ethnic minorities is held nationwide.

Accordingly, the event brings together very small ethnic minorities from 11 provinces including: Lai Chau, Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Nghe An, Quang Binh and Kon Tum.

The event was organized for the first time by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee in coordination with provinces with ethnic minorities under 10,000 people.

In particular, the art program at the opening ceremony taking place at 8:00 p.m. on November 3, 2023 at People's Square of Lai Chau province promises to bring a unique, diverse and attractive cultural party never seen before in Lai Chau province

A number of other cultural activities also take place at this very attractive event such as: Fire jumping ceremony of the Pa Then ethnic group (Tuyen Quang), Ngo Tet of Cong (Lai Chau), Rain praying ceremony of the Lo Lo ethnic group (Cao Bang), Bride welcoming ceremony of the Pa Then ethnic group (Ha Giang)...

Mass arts festival and traditional costume performance, traditional handicraft demonstration, exhibition of cultural characteristics of ethnic groups with a population of less than 10,000 people in the cultural community of Vietnamese ethnic groups; Displaying and introducing traditional costumes of 14 ethnic groups with a population of less than 10,000 people; Participate in promoting traditional physical and sports activities such as: Tug of war, crossbow shooting and stick pushing...

Lai Chau owns 6/10 mountains in the top of the most majestic mountains in the country such as Pu Si Lung, Pu Ta Leng, Bach Moc Luong Tu, Ta Lien Son, Khang Su Van, Po Ma Lung with countless colors of azalea flowers, vegetation covered with green moss and a sea of ​​floating white clouds.

Along with that is a system of 32 historical and cultural relics and ranked landscapes, relics, and monuments, creating tourist destinations with great potential for development. Lai Chau also has a long history, rich and unique culture of 20 ethnic groups, Lai Chau people are also very kind, friendly and hospitable.
