Due to the impact of Typhoon Matmo (locally known as Storm 11), Thai Nguyen province has experienced widespread moderate to heavy and very heavy rainfall. The flooding situation remains highly complex, causing severe damage to people, infrastructure, and production and seriously affecting the lives of local residents.
Many agencies, organizations, and relief groups have actively coordinated to transport essential goods and relief supplies to join hands in overcoming the consequences of floods and supporting heavily damaged areas, particularly in the administrative center of Thai Nguyen province.

Based on the actual situation and following the Prime Minister's Official Telegram, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee has issued an official document focusing on responding to and overcoming the consequences of Storm No. 11.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Party Committee of the Provincial People’s Committee to direct the Provincial People’s Committee and functional agencies to assess the actual situation and issue a decision declaring a state of emergency due to natural disasters to implement urgent measures in response to the rains and floods in the province.
Preventive measures are implemented to minimize losses of life and property, and residents are resolutely evacuated from dangerous areas. The utmost priority is placed on safeguarding human lives.
Forces, vehicles, and materials are mobilized to carry out search and rescue operations and assist local communities in recovering as quickly as possible from the floods' aftermath. At the same time, repair and restoration of damaged infrastructure are being implemented in a timely manner, especially to ensure safe and uninterrupted transportation in the shortest time.

The Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of the province directed the Provincial VFF Committee to chair and coordinate visits, offer timely support and encouragement to affected families, and receive and distribute donations and aid resources to residents in areas damaged by Storm No. 11 in a timely, public, and lawful manner.
