State-of-the-art combine harvesters facilitate agricultural productivity

Featuring outstanding technologies, Kubota and Yanmar combines are two best-selling harvesters on the market.

The first combine harvester invented in England in the early 19th century is regarded one of the most economically important labor saving inventions.

Modern agricultural machinery has helped boost agricultural productivity in particular and innovate the sector in general.

Vietnam is an agricultural country, and is known as the world’s leading rice exporter. Therefore, modern agricultural machinery and equipment are in high demand.

Aware of the considerable demand, the two large Japanese corporations dedicated to agricultural machinery, namely Kubota and Yanmar, entered Vietnam and quickly gained a foothold in the market. This article aims to present outstanding features of Kubota and those of Yanmar. Main criteria include price, capacity, durability, quality, repairs and replacement together with their suitability to Vietnam’s fields.

Currently, the two combine harvesters Kubota DC70 and Yanmar AW70V have been gaining in popularity. These two combines both feature an engine of 70 horsepower, which helps save fuel. The use of 4 valves per cylinder engine, whose diameter is nearly 100mm, enables the machine to outperform others in terms of speed and power.

In addition, the two combines work well even in muddy fields thanks to their ground clearance of over 300mm in height.  Such other special designs as a large threshing chamber and extended sieve help reduce grain losses, which is highly appreciated by farmers.

Similar prices

Both Kubota and Yanmar harvesters of 70-horsepower engine cost over VND 500 million. This also makes it hard for customers which one to buy.

Recently, the two corporations also launch new product lines into the market. While Kubota has brought out the Kubota DC-93 with 93-horsepower engine, priced at about VND 800 million, Yanmar has also launched the products Yanmar YH850 with 85-horsepower engine, priced at around VND 700 million.
