According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in December 2021, rubber export reached 250 thousand tons, worth $428.67 million. Thereby helping the year’s rubber export reached 1.955 million tons, worth $3.278 billion, up 11.7% in quantity and 37.5% in value over 2020.
As a consequence, rubber export in 2021 recorded two important milestones in export turnover. The return to the $3 billion milestones after 10 years, while also surpassing the 2011 record of $3.233 billion.
This also means that rubber export in 2021 set a new record regarding turnover in the history of Vietnam’s rubber industry.
According to the Agency of Foreign Trade (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Vietnam ranked 3rd worldwide in terms of rubber export value. Vietnam’s rubber has appeared in over 80 countries and regions over the world, mainly concentrated in major markets such as China, India, Korea, Germany, and the USA.
