On the morning of November 8, the 16th International Processing and Packaging Exhibition and Conference in Vietnam (ProPak Vietnam 2023) opened at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

The exhibition is organized by Informa Markets Company Vietnam, along with a number of units such as the Active and Intelligent Packaging Industry Association (AIPIA), and Vietnam Packaging Association (VINPAS).
Through ProPak Vietnam 2023, Vietnamese businesses can catch the latest technology and market trends in the processing and packaging industry around the world, and at the same time build and develop many new business relationships.
ProPak Vietnam 2023 attracts more than 400 units from more than 30 countries and territories such as the United States, Italy, Germany, France, Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, Belgium, Spain, Singapore, Australia, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan (part of China), Thailand, Malaysia, India. In addition, ProPak Vietnam 2023 also brings together many global brands such as Kyouwa, Transicom, Fuji Seal, FPT, Phu Loc, My Lan Group, and MT Food...

The products on display focus on packaging technology, processing, and technology for the beverage industry, pharmaceutical industry, raw materials, cold supply chain, logistics, warehousing, coding technology, marking, labelling, printing technology, laboratory instruments, inspection, and many other services.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. BT Tee, General Director of Informa Markets Vietnam Company said, in recent years, the food and beverage processing and packaging industry has grown strongly thanks to the rapid development of e-commerce, delivery apps and the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that Vietnam has joined.
In addition to the economic benefits, this development poses an urgent need to protect resources and the environment, as Vietnam is facing the challenge of dealing with a sudden increase in waste from the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.

With this context, many manufacturers, processors, and packaging manufacturers in Vietnam have been innovating and creating new materials and products that meet the requirements of creating less waste, as well as being highly recyclable with low prices and simpler production processes.
So every year, ProPak Vietnam has the return of both familiar exhibitors and new brands, creating a display space for thousands of machines and technologies to meet the needs of improving production lines, optimizing processing and packaging processes, production expansion, as well as the need for sustainable development.
Similarly, Mr Nguyen Ngoc Sang, Chairman of the Vietnam Packaging Association (VINPAS), also commented at the opening ceremony: “With an expected GDP growth rate of over 5% in 2023, Vietnam's economy is on a stable growth path, becoming a bright spot attracting investment in the region.

The development of manufacturing and retail industries, along with increasing demand for packaged foods, beverages, cosmetics and personal care products are significantly increasing demand for the processing and packaging industry. The transportation, storage, and preservation of goods and the increase in e-commerce activities also contribute to driving strong packaging demand in Vietnam.
Most suppliers focus on meeting Vietnam's growing demand for raw materials, machinery, technology and packaging and processing services; accompanying business growth, and gaining competitive advantage through smart packaging technology and solutions. At the same time, suppliers also actively participate in business connection programs and quality seminars to enhance opportunities to find partners, striving towards long-term cooperation in the near future".
In addition to displaying packaging and packaging processing technologies, the exhibition also has a series of international seminars and specialized seminars with diverse topics such as "Smart packaging and opportunities for Vietnam in the Asia-Pacific region", seminars with the topic "Providing extended responsibilities of manufacturers under the Law on Environmental Protection - Opportunities for developing environmentally friendly green packaging" or “Optimizing packaging and processing technology - Improving production efficiency and reducing environmental impact”, along with the "Protalk" technical seminar series. This is also an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses attending the exhibition to have the opportunity to update new knowledge and interact with leading experts in the international packaging industry.
