On September 26, in Long Xuyen Ward, the An Giang Department of Industry and Trade, in coordination with relevant units, held a workshop on “Developing OCOP products on digital platforms.” The event attracted participation from the provincial People’s Committee leadership, representatives of various departments, and numerous OCOP enterprises from both within and outside the province. This activity is part of the “Mekong Delta OCOP product connectivity forum 2025,” hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, taking place from September 25 to 28 in An Giang.

The workshop provided an opportunity for provincial department leaders, OCOP enterprises, and technology experts to exchange ideas and share experiences on applying digital platforms in production, distribution, and product promotion. Solutions in e-commerce, digital payment, traceability, and smart logistics were introduced, opening wide collaboration opportunities for local businesses.
A highlight of the workshop was the announcement marking the end of the pilot phase and the official rollout of Model 22 across An Giang Province. This model focuses on digital transformation in tourism development and regional specialty promotion, supporting residents in using population data, electronic identification, and authentication for household and digital economy growth.
Model 22 was established through a comprehensive cooperation agreement between the An Giang People’s Committee and GTEL Global Technology and Telecommunications Corporation under the Ministry of Public Security, signed on February 25, 2025. GTEL committed to supporting the province by building digital infrastructure and deploying advanced technology platforms aligned with Government Project 06, driving socio-economic development.
Accordingly, GTEL has assisted An Giang in launching the e-commerce portal angiang.numbala.com, enabling the province’s goods, specialties, and OCOP products to be listed on the Numbala platform. This pioneering B2B platform in Vietnam connects local enterprises with international buyers while providing support for logistics, documentation, and verification of businesses and products. Currently, nearly 400 OCOP products from 3- to 5-star categories in An Giang have been granted accounts to participate on this platform.
In parallel, enterprises and OCOP producers are supported in using the GCheck platform to trace product origins from raw materials to distribution channels. Consumers can simply scan a QR code to access product information, preventing counterfeit purchases and enhancing the credibility and brand value of participating businesses.
Not limited to e-commerce, Model 22 is closely integrated with smart tourism development. GTEL has developed the VNeTrip app for both Android and iOS, digitizing nearly 300 cultural, spiritual, and ecological destinations in An Giang and surrounding areas, including Nui Cam, Mieu Ba Chua Xu Nui Sam, Ha Tien, and Phu Quoc.
With VNeTrip, tourists can search for information, book hotels, tours, and transport tickets, purchase local specialties online, make digital payments, and trace product origins via QR/Barcode. The app also features an AI Chatbot for itinerary advice, experience recommendations, and answering queries, while providing smart maps and management tools for authorities and businesses.

According to Mr. Ngô Công Thức, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People’s Committee, the official rollout of Model 22 marks a significant transformation, from a pilot phase to province-wide implementation, and from a few product groups to the entire OCOP system. This event is not just a technological milestone but also a catalyst for An Giang to enter the digital economy era, in line with Resolution 57 on national digital transformation by 2025, with a vision toward 2030.
Developing OCOP products on digital platforms is a natural path to enhance the value of local products. Leveraging its strengths in agriculture, aquaculture, and tourism, An Giang is using digital technology to promote specialty rice, processed pangasius, palm sugar, essential oils, handicrafts, and many other products closely tied to local culture.

According to Ms. Nguyen Duy Linh Thao, Deputy Director of the An Giang Department of Industry and Trade, OCOP products are not just commodities but also “cultural stories” of the locality. Entering the digital space, these products not only carry economic value but also promote the image and pride of the homeland regionally and internationally.
With GTEL’s involvement, An Giang has built a platform enabling farmers, cooperatives, and small- and medium-sized enterprises to proactively list their products online, reach new customers, reduce marketing costs, and enhance competitiveness.
An Giang aims to boost e-commerce linked with OCOP, develop digital infrastructure in rural areas, and provide training in online sales, digital marketing, and customer data management for businesses and residents. Each OCOP product will be associated with a brand story and a transparent QR code to build consumer trust.
Additionally, the province will strengthen communication and trade promotion, leveraging social media, digital tourism, and e-commerce platforms to expand the reach of An Giang’s OCOP brand. The province also pledges to support businesses, cooperatives, and producers by addressing challenges related to capital, technology, and quality standards, enabling them to fully harness the potential of the digital economy.
