According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), in January, pangasius exports to China - Hong Kong reached $ 52 million, an increase of nearly 4 times compared to January 2023 and an increase of 65% compared to January 2022.

With the above value, pangasius exports to China - Hong Kong accounted for 32% of total pangasius exports to all markets in the first month of this year. Of which, frozen/dried pangasius products exported to China increased 6.5 times over the same period last year.

Also in January, pangasius exports to the US reached $ 18 million, up 83% over the same period last year. In the first month of this year, the US increased its import of most Vietnamese pangasius products. In particular, processed pangasius products increased 18 times in turnover compared to the same period last year and reached $ 295 thousand.

Pangasius exports to the EU also recorded positive growth in the first month of this year, with an increase of 20% over the same period in 2023. The Netherlands is still the leading EU country in importing Vietnamese pangasius, with nearly $ 4 million, up 16% over the same period. In addition, pangasius exports to some markets in the EU also recorded high growth such as: exports to Hungary increased 4 times, and exports to Spain, France and Slovenia increased about 2.5 times...
