Mr. Le Minh Hoan appointed as Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development

(VAN)- The National Assembly on April 8 morning approved the appointment of Mr. Le Minh Hoan as the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

In particular, the National Assembly approved a Resolution ratifying the proposal on the appointment of two Deputy Prime Ministers, 12 Ministers, heads of industries.

Accordingly, Mr. Le Minh Hoan, Deputy Minister of Agricultural and Rural Development was approved for the position of Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Mr. Le Minh Hoan, born on 19th January 1961; Hometown: My Tra commune, Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province; Qualification: Architect, Master of Economics;

Mr. Hoan is the delegate of XI, XIII and XIV National Assembly of the National Assembly delegation of Dong Thap province

1984 – 1994: Mr. Le Minh Hoan worked in Cao Lanh town (now Cao Lanh city): officer, Deputy Head of Transportation – Construction Department; Deputy Head, Head of Urban Management Department; Head of Construction and Urban Management;

From January 1995 to December 2003: Deputy Director, Acting Director, Director of Construction Department.

From December 2003 to May 2014: Vice Chairman of Cao Lanh People’s Committee, Secretary of Cao Lanh Party Committee (August 2008), Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee (October 2010), Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee (November 2020), Head of Dong Thap National Assembly Delegation (term XIII and XIV, since 2011 to date);

From May 2014 to September 2020: Mr. Hoan was elected as Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Council (from January 2016 to July 2016), Head of Dong Thap National Assembly Delegation. In January 2016, at the XII Party Congress, he was elected to the Party Central Committee;

September 21st 2020: Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1433/QD – TTg on the appointment of Mr. Le Minh Hoan, Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

January 30th 2021: At the XIII Party Congress, Mr. Le Minh Hoan was re – elected to the Party Central Committee;

April 8th 2021: National Assembly approved the appointment of Mr. Le Minh Hoan as the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
