(VAN) Mangrove reforestation not only restores ecosystems but also unlocks long-term livelihoods, helping women increase their income and proactively adapt to climate change.
(VAN) The GCF project has built 4,966 safe houses, restored 4,028 hectares of mangrove forests, and enhanced the resilience of coastal communities in Vietnam to climate change.
(VAN) Mangrove forests died for unknown reasons but recovered slowly, affecting the ecosystem as well as the livelihoods of local people.
(VAN) The extension of the GCF project until July 2024 will provide a time buffer to focus on constructing over 1,000 storm-resistant houses, expanding the plantation of more than 100 hectares of mangrove forests.
(VAN) International experts emphasized the need for interdisciplinary cooperation, sustainable financing, and the integration of mangrove conservation into national and international climate policies.
