The Institute for ship research and development (Uninship) of Nha Trang University has just launched a composite fishing logistics service ship named Thuy Tien.

It is a new fishing logistics service ship built according to the orders of Ninh Thuan fishermen, before the outstanding advantages of composite hull ships compared to other shell ships after many years of being put into use.

Thuy Tien ship has a length of 17.9 meters, a width of 5.40 meters, a height of 2.6 meters, a capacity of 808Hp. The vessel has the same shape as the logistics service ship Doc Ninh, with an angled line, a wide bottom, and a sharp side to reduce shaking amplitude. Along with that, the propeller shaft is lowered to improve speed; the tail has a V-rack arrangement to increase the amount of water entering the propeller, the nose is widened (water entry angle 500) to increase carrying capacity; The body of the pipe occupies more than 50% of the length to increase the load capacity and facilitate the arrangement of the fishery tank.

According to Uninship, Thuy Tien ship is arranged with a driver's cabin, a kitchen, a toilet system, and a bed for the crew. For the ship's cabin with a 3-layer structure. In addition to living facilities, the cabin is also equipped with communication equipment to improve the spiritual life of fishermen during long sea voyages.

Thuy Tien ship is arranged with 22 storage tunnels (16 fish tunnels and 6 stone tunnels) with a total capacity of 55m3. The storage cellar is constructed with a sandwich structure process, the PU foam core is waterproof; all drainage holes from the storage tunnels are collected to the storage compartment right in front of the engine room to pump out, ensuring that the cellar is always in a dry state, can fully meet the criteria: preservation efficiency, food safety and health safety for fishermen.

The ship ensures the fuel system operates continuously for 30 days. The main mechanical accessories such as exhaust system, engine room pipe system, railing system, stairs, anti-collision... are made from stainless steel, increasing the aesthetics and increasing the life of the equipment.

It is known that Thuy Tien ship is the first ship model designed from specialized design software developed by the Uninship technical staff, both ensuring a harmonious shape, outstanding technical features, and reasonableness structure, helping to save materials and labor.

Therefore, this model has a reasonable price. It is suitable for the economic conditions of most fishermen, especially in the difficult period of the economy due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
