Hundreds of businesses gather at AgroViet 2023

On September 6, the Trade Promotion Centre for Agriculture (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) held a press conference to introduce the 23rd International Agricultural Exhibition - AgroViet 2023.

With the theme "Connecting value chains, developing ecological and sustainable agriculture", the 23rd International Agricultural Expo is an important annual trade promotion activity. The Expo is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Trade Promotion Centre for Agriculture will hold the event from September 14 to 17, 2023.

Agroviet 2023 has nearly 200 domestic and international booths. Up to now, the Organizing Committee has received registrations from nearly 100 units and businesses, equivalent to 192 booths. Including businesses from China, Korea, Australia, Russia and 45 localities throughout the country such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ca Mau, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Kien Giang, Soc Trang, Ben Tre, Tien Giang, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Quang Ngai, Dong Thap, Lao Cai, Hai Phong, Son La, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Quang Ninh...

Mr Nguyen Minh Tien, Director of the Trade Promotion Centre for Agriculture said: following the results of the previous year's Fairs, AgroViet 2023 is organized to promote and expand cooperation and international economic exchanges, promote brands, products, trade transactions, honour agricultural, forestry, and fishery products, OCOP products, agricultural specialities of localities throughout the country. This is an opportunity for businesses and cooperatives to consolidate and exploit domestic and export markets.

AgroViet 2023 will display and introduce a variety of products, rich with many agricultural products, OCOP products, and local specialties products, such as: ST25 rice, Thai Nguyen tea, Tam Dao yellow flower tea, Nha Trang bird's nest, Ba Lang fish sauce, Thanh Hoa fermented pork roll, Soc Trang shallot, Ly Son garlic and onion, Nghe An tamarind sausage...; many agricultural products and food products originate from Australia such as abalone, olive oil, Manuka honey, native Australian flower honey; Chinese fresh flowers, vegetables and fruits; food and souvenirs from the Russian Federation such as cheese, butter, sunflower oil, tumblers, wooden dolls...

In addition, the Fair also introduces sensor technology lines serving the production and processing of Korean agricultural products such as: the sugar meter, which detects irregularities inside vegetables without test cutting and uses image sensor technology to sort the colour and shape of fruits and vegetables. Many machines and technological equipment serving agricultural production come from China such as: Refrigeration and insulation equipment, livestock and poultry dryer equipment, three-wheeled electric vehicles, forklifts, excavators, generators, electric sprayers...

For the convenience of visiting customers, this year, the Organizing Committee has plans to arrange and arrange booth areas including:

- The general exhibition area of ​​100m2 is designed to be eye-catching, especially to promote the achievements of Vietnam's agricultural industry, and results of national target programs of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development through images, data, and promotional clips of key agricultural products with export value of over $ 1 billion, national level OCOP products...

- Domestic booth area associated with the agricultural value chain includes 120 - 160 standard booths for businesses to directly introduce products and find customers; introduction space and demonstrate new products and new technologies for production.

- The international pavilion includes 30 standard booths of businesses from Australia, Russia, China, Korea and some ASEAN countries..., foreign enterprises, organizations, joint ventures…

- The remaining booth area is a display space to promote and introduce rural tourist attractions and regional culture; a space to experience regional cultural cuisine, sample tests, and enjoy drinks such as tea, and coffee...; startups' booths.

Within the framework of the Fair, a number of conferences and seminars will take place such as a Workshop "Developing green, sustainable agriculture associated with the rural tourism model" (afternoon of September 14); a Trade conference between Vietnamese and foreign businesses (morning of September 15); Workshop "Propagation and promotion of consumption of typical products and specialities in mountainous, remote and island areas on e-commerce platforms in 2023" (afternoon of September 15).

From September 15 to September 18 at the Hanoi Exhibition - Economic and Trade Fair Area, the International Agricultural Exhibition - AgroViet 2022 will take place, with a scale of 150 booths, expected to gather more than 100 domestic and international businesses to participate.
