On May 8, the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Giang province coordinated with the Asia-Africa Market Department, Trade Promotion Department, and Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to organize an online trade conference with the Department of Trade and Authorities of Yunnan province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China on lychee consumption in 2024.
According to the Director of Bac Giang Department of Industry and Trade Tran Quang Tan, the province maintains and strictly controls 223 area codes for growing lychee for export, with an area of about 17,198 hectares. According to Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam O Quoc Quyen, the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam is willing to continue to cooperate closely with Bac Giang province, departments, branches and agencies of Vietnam to bringing Bac Giang lychees to the Chinese market promptly and conveniently.
