Founded in 1998, Fortune’s Most Powerful Women ranking is among the world’s most prestigious honors. It celebrates outstanding female leaders based on five criteria: business performance, innovation, influence, leadership, and social impact. The Asia-Pacific edition, expanded in 2024, features 100 exceptional women from Southeast Asia, China, India, Japan, South Korea, and Australia.
Viet Nam’s new-generation business leader, Dang Huynh Uc My, has been recognized for her strategic vision, innovative mindset, and strong commitment to sustainable development. With over two decades of experience in the agriculture–finance sector, she deeply understands the limitations of small-scale production, low value-added outputs, and the volatility of Viet Nam’s agricultural supply chains.
From that insight, she charted a new path for AgriS, transforming it from a traditional producer into a smart agricultural solutions platform, building a high-tech circular agricultural ecosystem based on three strategic pillars: AgTech, FoodTech, and FinTech.
AgriS now operates as an Agricultural Operating System. This is an intelligent agri-economic model that integrates production, trade, import-export, and solution services, laying the foundation for Viet Nam’s first Smart Agro Economy.
Under Ms. Uc My’s leadership, AgriS has become not only a major player in agribusiness but also a symbol of Viet Nam’s capacity for innovation and sustainability. The company’s work helps elevate the image of Vietnamese agriculture on the world stage, transforming it from a commodity-based sector into a knowledge-driven, technology-enabled, and globally competitive industry.
To bring Viet Nam’s agriculture onto the world stage, Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My has led AgriS in implementing an ESG Operating System (Environment - Social - Governance), advancing green growth, ensuring value chain transparency, and enabling access to sustainable international finance.
Today, AgriS products are present in over 80 countries, including demanding markets such as Europe, Japan, and South Korea, generating annual revenues exceeding USD 1 billion. The company targets VND 60 trillion (USD 2.7 billion in market capitalization) by 2030. Beyond financial success, AgriS is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2035, aligning its business growth with Viet Nam’s and the world’s climate goals.
Beyond her executive role, Ms. Uc My inspires others through her insights and real-world experiences. Her book, Right to Win – The Winning Edge for Viet Nam’s Agriculture, which she authored and curated, is a powerful testament to that vision. The book chronicles the AgriS journey toward global competitiveness through a comprehensive ESG strategy, offering an insider’s perspective on how purpose-driven leadership can redefine traditional industries.
Her inclusion in Fortune’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Asia reflects both AgriS’s global vision and sustainable growth strategy, serving as a testament to Viet Nam’s rising position on the global agricultural value map.
Fortune, the renowned American business magazine founded in 1929, is best known for its authoritative rankings such as Fortune 500, Most Powerful Women, and Change the World.
The Most Powerful Women in Asia list specifically honors 100 female leaders who have turned regional challenges into opportunities, leveraging disruption to create competitive advantage, and shaping the direction of the global economy. These women come from diverse backgrounds, from corporate titans and investors to policymakers and social entrepreneurs. They share one unifying trait: the courage to redefine what leadership means in a rapidly changing world.
