According to the Industry and Trade Information Centre (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the export of animal feed and raw materials to the US market in March 2022 reached $12.29 million, up 37% compared to February 2022 and an increase of 30% compared to March 2021.
Generally speaking for the whole first quarter, export of animal feed and raw materials to the US market reached $31.22 million, increased sharply by 31.9% compared to the first quarter of 2021 and accounted for 11.5% of the total turnover.
According to the General Department of Customs, in the first quarter of this year, the export of animal feed and raw materials reached $272.55 million, increasing strongly by 35.5% compared to the same period last year.
China is still the largest market for Vietnam's animal feed and raw materials, reaching over $125.18 million, a sharp increase of 140.8% compared to the first quarter of 2021 and accounting for 45.9% of the total export turnover of this group of merchandise of the country.
The following market is Cambodia, which accounted for 11.7%, reaching nearly $31.88 million, down 5.3%. The US is currently the third-largest market for Vietnam's animal feed and raw materials exports.
