On May 9, MARD Minister Le Minh Hoan and his deputies met with affiliate unit leaders. After hearing the reports, the minister instructed the units to analyze all assigned tasks, eliminate bottlenecks, and expedite execution to obtain the desired outcomes.
"The reasons may stem from the force, human, time, or knowledge... We need to seek simpler tools to develop and implement plans and strategies for the sector", Mr. Le Minh Hoan noted.
When constructing and implementing plans for the agriculture industry, he also emphasized the need for an open thinking and a larger area to collect opinions: "We can build the plans step by step with the involvement of internal and external units and experts of the ministry, avoiding the state of working on its own."
The chief of the agriculture business underlined that it must not be restricted to technical and scientific considerations, but future plans must be based on market thinking.
The Minister and the Director of the Crop Production Department discussed the dragon fruit program in the southern regions.
In the context of exceptional weather developments, Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien notified specialized agencies of more particular directions about this year's food production.
In addition, the livestock and fisheries sectors must have a clear grasp on the implementation strategy in light of the fact that the import index for many raw materials is lowering compared to the same time last year.
Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien underlined that "the units must follow up and have prompt production response solutions in order to meet the targeted output target."
Regarding the fisheries sector, Minister Le Minh Hoan emphasized the need to reform the commodities business, reorganize fishermen's operations, and construct cooperatives that work more efficiently.
