Previously, the Forest Protection Department No. 1, Hanoi Forest Protection Department encouraged the family that raises the bear to transfer it to the Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre.

The representative of the No. 1 Forest Protection Department said that the bear has been fitted with a tracking chip since 2004. The bear is carefully raised. It was kept in a cage that was placed far away from the house. The family that raised the bear loves it and misses it much.

The veterinarians involved in the rescue said that the bear does not have any serious health problems at the moment. They will conduct a closer health check and detect any problems when the bear is taken to the Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre.

According to the Hanoi Forest Protection Department, there are still about 140 bears in captivity in the whole city. The functional forces are still convincing, calling on people to voluntarily hand over bears and stop raising bears for bile.
