The Sub-Department of Livestock Production, Animal Health and Fisheries of Son La has been proactively executing administrative reform and digital transformation to improve production efficiency, effective management and create sustainable development.

Synchronously implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the digital transformation of Son La province in the 2021 - 2025 period, all administrative procedures in the fields of livestock production, animal health and fisheries have currently been digitized and integrated into the public service system. This helps the management units reduce paperwork, and optimize time and resources.

The public disclosure of 100% of administrative procedures at the Provincial Public Administration Service Center and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development website opens up more opportunities for people to easily access information and monitor the process of handling records. In the first 10 months of 2024, 2,225 records were processed on time, thus demonstrating the determination and effectiveness of administrative reform.

Aiming to create changes, information dissemination and education about digital transformation are matters of great importance. Son La Sub-Department of Livestock Production, Animal Health and Fisheries is promoting digital transformation, ensuring that civil servants and public employees clearly understand the urgency of digital transformation and wholeheartedly support it.

The livestock production and animal health sectors are given priority in the digital transformation process. A database software system has been built and deployed to help manage the location of livestock facilities, herd size, livestock types, and vaccination processes.

The software used in the system not only saves time and costs but also creates an important database for establishing appropriate livestock development strategies. Digital transformation is not only a modern trend but also the key to opening a sustainable future for the livestock production, animal health and fisheries sectors in Son La province.
