Dr. Tran Minh Hai, Director of the Center for Cooperative Economics Training and Consulting at the School of Agricultural and Rural Development Managers II, said at the event that MARD's Working Group 970 was started in the middle of July and has already achieved some good outcomes.

As of August 31, the Group has established 1,344 focus sites to provide agricultural, forestry, and fisheries products, as well as vegetables, fruits, and processed goods, in collaboration with about ten industrial groupings. Working Group 970 receives supplies from a wide variety of sources.

According to data, 32.4 percent of suppliers are cooperatives, farms, or cooperative groups; 37% are farmers; 19% are businesses; 9% are processing facilities, and about 3% are state management agencies.

The 970 Working Group's ordering website: https://htx.cooplink.com.vn/ has about 2,800 registrants, with 70% for sale, 30% for purchase, and 7% for state agencies.

Apart from linking supply and demand, Working Group 970 assists in educating the public about the location of local manufacturers and provides advice to ensure the smooth operation of production and agricultural product exports.

One noteworthy result of Working Group 970 was the introduction of a 10-kg agricultural product combination. Thousands of orders were made within the first two weeks of implementation, with an average volume of 300-400 tons. On August 24, orders totaled VND 3.6 billion, representing for 10% of the entire value of the previous three weeks' activities. On August 31, 43,000 combinations from neighboring provinces of An Giang, Kien Giang, Dong Thap, and Vinh Long were ordered and transported to Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong.

Despite its recent deployment, the combined bundle of agricultural goods has piqued the public's attention. At its height, up to 55,000 orders per minute were placed. According to data, Working Group 970's agricultural product combo package can provide 55% of agricultural goods to Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, with an annual production of about 2,100 tons.

Within three days, agricultural goods from 26 provinces and cities affiliated with Working Group 970 were delivered. Working Group 970's objective is to increase agricultural product supply daily to a maximum of 4,500 tons. The unit anticipates receiving assistance from the army, the local community, and organizations such as the Fatherland Front, the Youth Union, the Farmers' Union, and the Women's Union in order to accomplish these goals.

Regarding the agricultural product consumption forum, despite its recent establishment, it has already inked four contracts with Central Retail Group; Thu Duc wholesale market; Saigon Cooperative; and Viet Travel Company. Central Retail Group previously partnered with Working Group 970 and pledged to consume 10,000 ten-kilogram farm product combinations.

In addition to these four contracts, a number of units have been contacted, including Lazada and Cho Good. They are dedicated to providing cooperatives and companies with digital and technological platforms, as well as assisting sellers in registering warehouses to transport agricultural goods from cooperatives to Ho Chi Minh City. However, the present supply-demand link confronts certain challenges in terms of information gathering, collecting, organization of focus points, and delivery of products in accordance with buyer requirements.

Working Group 970 presented three problems based on its actual activities. First, for merchants and import-export businesses: It is recommended that these firms join Group 970 aggressively. The organization pledges to provide all necessary information to buyers and sellers, including information regarding shipping units, logistics, and support processes for immediately signing contracts.

Second, it is suggested that relevant units encourage the use of information technology and pilot a good agricultural production program for customers that is based on electronic production diary recording. They are then allocated to big supermarkets, where they assist the customer in comprehending the manufacturing process and serve as the foundation for developing the planting area code.

Third, it is proposed that the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, as well as provincial and municipal People's Committees, establish working groups affiliated with Working Group 970 to assist people in promptly fulfilling requests.
