A number of businesses in the agricultural sector received the National Quality Awards

At the second award ceremony, which took place on December 18th, a large number of businesses in the agricultural sector were honored. Among the notable winners, C.P. Vietnam Livestock Corporation was recognized with two Gold Awards for its outstanding achievements. ThaiBinh Seed Corporation also received a Gold Award for its excellent contributions to the agricultural industry, while Nestlé Vietnam was awarded one Gold Award for its exceptional performance.

In addition to these companies, several other businesses from the agricultural sector were also acknowledged for their achievements. These included the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (AgriBank), Vietnam Rubber Group, Quang Ngai Humic Organic Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, Quang Binh Agricultural General Corporation and Toan Van General Trading Joint Stock Company.

The National Quality Award is assessed based on seven key criteria, with a total maximum score of 1.000 points. Companies that achieve a score of 600 points or more are granted the National Quality Award, while those who surpass 800 points are eligible for the prestigious Gold Award.

Among the criteria, business performance holds the highest weight with a total of 450 points. This reflects the practical ability of businesses to achieve their set business goals. Other criteria include leadership, which is worth 120 points; measurement, analysis and knowledge management, with 90 points; strategic planning; customer and market orientation; human resource management and development; management of operational processes, with each of these criteria receiving 85 points.

During his speech at the award ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat congratulated the winning companies and highlighted that the businesses recognized by the Prime Minister during this period are tangible proof of the efforts made to apply tools for improving productivity and quality. Additionally, the companies have shown innovation and improvements in their management systems, which have yielded positive results. These achievements contribute significantly to the recovery and growth of the nation's economy, especially in the post-pandemic period.

Mr. Le Xuan Dinh, Chairman of the National Quality Award Council, expressed his wish for businesses to continue improving their management systems and to further adopt technical advancements. These improvements will not only enhance the quality of products but also strengthen the competitiveness of the goods and services offered by these companies.

The Deputy Minister of Science and Technology also emphasized that the Ministry will continue to enhance and more effectively implement the National Quality Award across the country. The goal is to spread the values of businesses that have worked tirelessly to innovate, improve their management practices, and enhance their competitive edge.

The Vietnam Quality Award was officially launched in 1996. In 2009, the award was incorporated into the Law on the Quality of Goods and Products, and since then, it has been officially known as the National Quality Award, which is granted annually by the Prime Minister. The General Department of Standards, Metrology, and Quality, now the National Standards and Quality Measurement Committee under the Ministry of Science and Technology, has served as the permanent agency responsible for the award.

Over the course of 28 years since its initiation, the National Quality Award has recognized a total of 2.163 companies, many of which have expanded their reach internationally.
