In the first nine months of 2024, Gia Lai's export value is estimated to exceed 700 million USD (achieving over 93% of the plan). Specifically, coffee exports reached a volume of 193,000 tons, equivalent to 552 million USD, accounting for 80% of the province's total export value, an increase of 26% compared to the same period last year.
"The province is actively promoting Gia Lai coffee products at promotional programs both domestically and internationally, while also enhancing marketing through various media channels. Recently, the Gia Lai Department of Industry and Trade hosted several foreign business delegations to survey the coffee market in Gia Lai. This included a delegation from Japan that surveyed the Gia Lai coffee market and was introduced to several major processing and exporting companies in the province, such as Vinh Hiep Co., Ltd., Hoa Trang Co., and Tam Ba Co.," said Mr. Pham Van Binh, Director of the Gia Lai Department of Industry and Trade.
According to the Director, Japanese companies have initially expressed interest in exclusively distributing Gia Lai instant coffee in the Japanese and Malaysian markets under the brand name "Gia Lai Coffee."
