The OCOP or “One Commune - One Product” agriculture product trade fair attracted about 700,000 visitors in the northern west province of Lao Cai in the last five days.
More than 180 organisations and businesses have showcased their products at more than 300 booths of the fair from October 22.
There were 36 businesses with 98 booths selling products from Lao Cai province while the rest offered agriculture products from other provinces and cities.
The fair was an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to promote their local agricultural and aquatic products with high quality.
The fair revenue was estimated at more than VND20 billion.
At the event, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Lao Cai Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the provincial Center for Agricultural Trade Promotion jointly organised a forum discussing chances for local production and consumption of OCOP products as well as products for export. It was attended by 150 participants.
