Mavin Group releases the 1st sustainable development report

(VAN) This report documents Mavin's performance across environmental and social aspects to enhance effectiveness and bring benefits to business operations.

On April 10th, Mavin Group released its 2023 Sustainability Development Report, applying the GRI Standard of the Global Reporting Initiative - an international standard issued in 2016 to support organizations in reporting sustainable activities for transparency.

Through transparent and responsible reporting, referencing the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mavin's Sustainability Development Report includes information on its direction, approach to sustainability issues, governance methods, and Mavin's achievements in 2023.

Mavin stated that the Sustainability Development Report will be conducted annually, committing to continuously monitor, supervise, and evaluate its ESG (E-Environmental, S-Social, G-Governance) activities.

Mr David John Whitehead, Chairman of Mavin Group's Board of Directors, stated, "2023 marks a significant change in the way businesses approach sustainability. It's no longer just about being 'green' but integrating sustainable activities into all aspects of the company's operations and characteristics. This change reflects an increasingly recognized awareness that sustainability is not only an environmental issue but also a business imperative related to profit, brand reputation, and long-term success."

The Mavin's Chairman also emphasized choosing 2024 as the first year to release a separate Sustainability Development Report - a significant milestone marking Mavin Group's 20-year journey of establishment and development in Vietnam.

Mavin's Sustainability Development Report acknowledges the results of the Group's activities across environmental and social aspects to enhance efficiency, bring benefits to its business productions and commercial operations, build a happy working environment for its employees, and spread positive values to the community and society as a whole.

On the journey to achieve ESG goals and commitments to sustainable development, Mavin has received unanimous support from 100% of its employees. This commitment is emphasized in the company's long-term development strategy.

Additionally, in response to the government and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development's call for Net Zero goals, Mavin is innovating its activities to contribute to environmental protection and change environmental awareness and behaviour, not only among its employees but also among customers and the community.

One of the notable initiatives that Mavin is striving to implement is the adoption of circular economy and regenerative agriculture models in large-scale farming projects and livestock complexes invested by corporations across various provinces and cities in Vietnam.
