On March 29 in Bac Ninh, Dabaco Group Vietnam held the inauguration ceremony of the Dacovet Vaccine Factory and announced the commercialization of the Dacovac-ASF2 African swine fever (ASF) vaccine.
The event welcomed the presence of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep and Chairman of Bac Ninh People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan.

According to information from Dabaco Group Vietnam, Dacovet Vaccine Factory has a total investment of more than VND 300 billion. It is the twelfth vaccine factory in Vietnam, capable of producing 200 million vaccine doses/year.
The vaccine factory is equipped with modern production lines imported from the USA, Germany, and Japan, along with a fully automatic vial loading and unloading system for freeze-drying machines, an advanced and unique technology in Vietnam.
Dacovet also invests in an automatic packaging system and strict quality control, ensuring that 100% of products are visually inspected and leak-detected before being released to the market. Its production line has now been granted a WHO certificate of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP-WHO).
Nguyen Nhu So, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dabaco Group Vietnam, said that after the success of the African swine fever vaccine Dacovac-ASF2, with a vision to 2030, Dabaco continues to develop vaccine lines for livestock and poultry, reducing import dependence and enhancing national self-sufficiency. According to Nguyen Nhu So, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dabaco Group Vietnam, the Dacovac-ASF2 African swine fever vaccine was developed from the attenuated virus strain ASFV-G-ΔI177L/ΔLVR and the PIPEC cell line transferred by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The Dacovac-ASF2 vaccine product is the result of a long process of careful, scientific research and testing, under the strict supervision of specialized veterinary management agencies, thus affirming its safety, effectiveness and efficiency. This vaccine was officially licensed for commercial circulation on February 28, 2025, becoming a "biological shield" for the pig farming industry in Vietnam after heavy losses caused by ASF since 2019.
With the 3F+ strategy (Feed, Farm, Food & Future), Dabaco not only solves immediate challenges but also aims at a sustainable agricultural value chain. Therefore, Nguyen Nhu So once again affirmed that the Dacovet Vaccine Factory and Dacovac-ASF2 vaccine are the first steps for the business to conquer the Asian market, gradually bringing Vietnam to the global biotechnology map.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep requested Dabaco Group Vietnam and agricultural enterprises to promote effective response to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep acknowledged and highly appreciated the effective cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, domestic and foreign scientists and Dabaco Group Vietnam to achieve the current result of the African swine fever vaccine Dacovac-ASF2.
“The Dacovac-ASF2 vaccine is proof that, with proper investment in research, determination and solidarity support from the government, scientists and businesses, Vietnamese enterprises can completely research, produce and master the world's leading modern technologies, including biotechnology and vaccine technology,” said Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep.
Aspiring for further growth beyond the success of the African swine fever vaccine Dacovac-ASF2, Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Hiep suggested that Dabaco Group Vietnam, other enterprises in the agricultural sector, and specialized units of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment continue to have deeper cooperation in research and application of science and technology, effectively responding to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
With the production of Dacovac-ASF2 vaccine, Dabaco is the third enterprise in Vietnam to successfully research and produce a vaccine against African swine fever, contributing to alleviating concerns when the disease is showing signs of re-emergence in many localities in the country and around the world.
Dacovac-ASF2 vaccine receives positive evaluation from scientists and is concluded to help effectively control African swine fever in practice. It contributes significantly to maintaining pig herds, limiting damage, thereby stabilizing pig prices and consumer price index (CPI).
