VietAgros 2026: Joining hands to create green future

Bridge for technology and sustainable agricultural development

At the Can Tho International Exhibition Fair Center, Viet Agriculture and Environment Connection Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Livestock Magazine, the Department of Fisheries and Fisheries Surveillance, the Can Tho Department of Agriculture and Environment, and the Can Tho Fisheries Association, officially opened the International Agricultural and Environmental Technology Exhibition - VietAgros 2026.

Held under the theme “Creating a Green Future,” the event is expected to serve as a platform for technology exchange, trade promotion, and the dissemination of sustainable development solutions for the agricultural sector, particularly the fisheries industry.

With its strategic position at the heart of Viet Nam’s largest agricultural production region, Can Tho City serves not only as a hub for research and technology transfer but also as an important bridge connecting policymakers, scientists, businesses, and producers.

In the fisheries sector, one of the city’s key economic industries and a major pillar of the Mekong Delta economy, significant progress has been made in recent years. In line with national development trends, Can Tho’s fisheries industry has increasingly focused on improving quality, enhancing value, and promoting sustainable growth.

The city is steadily advancing the application of science and technology in seed production, aquaculture, environmental management, disease control, and product traceability. At the same time, it is encouraging businesses to invest in deep processing, develop value chains, and expand both domestic and export markets.

Therefore, the organization of the International Agricultural and Environmental Technology Exhibition VietAgros 2026 is of great practical significance. The event serves not only as a showcase for scientific and technological achievements and innovative solutions in agriculture, fisheries, and environmental management, but also as a forum where government agencies, researchers, businesses, and producers can meet, exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore opportunities for cooperation.

Promoting digital transformation toward green agriculture

Mr. Ha Vu Son, Director of the Can Tho Department of Industry and Trade, stated that VietAgros 2026 is being held at a time when Viet Nam’s agricultural sector is accelerating its transition toward a greener, more modern, and sustainable growth model. The exhibition serves not only as a venue for showcasing products and technologies but also as a platform connecting policymakers, scientists, businesses, and producers to foster innovation, technology transfer, and enhanced competitiveness across the sector.

VietAgros 2026 brings together more than 200 exhibition booths from enterprises operating in high-tech agriculture, aquaculture, production, breeding, animal feed and nutrition, veterinary medicine, processing, environmental technology, machinery and equipment, services, automation, and digital transformation.

The exhibition features a wide range of innovative technologies, products, and solutions designed to support modern agricultural and aquaculture production. Particular emphasis is placed on fisheries-related solutions, including environmental monitoring systems, smart farming technologies, digital aquaculture management platforms, advanced nutrition solutions, water treatment technologies, and low-emission production models.

In addition, the exhibition features a dedicated area showcasing OCOP products, regional agricultural specialties, and green economic development models from the Mekong Delta, as well as other distinctive products from across Viet Nam.

The Organizing Committee expects the exhibition to provide businesses with greater opportunities to promote their brands, connect with potential partners, and expand market access, while enabling producers to gain direct exposure to the latest scientific and technological advancements.

One of the highlights of VietAgros 2026 is a series of thematic seminars held throughout the exhibition. On the opening day, the seminar titled “Digital Transformation and Smart Technologies in Aquaculture” attracted participation from government agencies, experts, and businesses.

Discussions focused on AI, IoT, big data, and modern management platforms to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance disease control capabilities in aquaculture.

Ms. Quach Thi Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of the Can Tho Department of Agriculture and Environment, emphasized that VietAgros 2026 is a significant event for the Mekong Delta, Viet Nam’s key agricultural and aquaculture production region. The exhibition helps promote the region’s potential and strengths while creating opportunities for investment, business cooperation, and technology transfer among domestic and international enterprises.

As the fisheries sector faces growing challenges from climate change, evolving market demands, and increasingly stringent sustainability standards, the application of science and technology and digital transformation has become more important than ever. The solutions showcased at VietAgros 2026 are expected to help farmers and aquaculture producers improve productivity, enhance product quality, and strengthen their competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.
