On the evening of June 5, 2026, the art program "Viet Nam’s Seas – A Journey of blue Space" took place at Binh Minh Square in Cua Lo Ward, Nghe An Province, and was broadcast live on VTV1. Bringing together artists from different generations, the event conveyed the message that protecting the environment and safeguarding Viet Nam’s seas and islands are shared responsibilities of the entire society.

Attending the program were senior leaders of the Party, the State, and the Government, including Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai, and Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung.

Also in attendance were Members of the Party Central Committee, including Vice President and Secretary-General of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga; President of the Viet Nam Women's Union Le Thi Thuy; and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Bui Quang Huy, along with leaders of ministries, sectors, and central agencies.

Particularly, this meaningful and spectacular art program attracted thousands of local residents to Cua Lo Ward, Nghe An Province. Prior to the event, complimentary tickets for "Viet Nam’s Seas – A Journey of blue Space" were distributed to the public at five designated locations during office hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., between June 2 and June 5, 2026.

The program was held under the direction of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, with the Viet Nam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper (VAN News) serving as the implementing unit. Meritorious Artist Quynh Trang, Director of the Viet Nam Contemporary Arts Theatre, was the Artistic Director, while People's Artist Tran Binh served as the General Director.

Thousands of spectators packed Binh Minh Square in Cua Lo Ward for the event. As the available seats were quickly filled, many people stood throughout the event to enjoy the outstanding performances featured in the special art program "Viet Nam’s Seas – A Journey of blue Space."

More than simply an artistic performance, "Viet Nam’s Seas – A Journey of blue Space" delivered a powerful message about the shared responsibility of protecting the environment, preserving marine and island resources, and advancing the nation's aspiration for sustainable development in a new era.

Structured around three interconnected artistic chapters, the program took audiences on an emotional journey, from a love for the homeland and the nation's seas and islands to Viet Nam's aspiration to reach out to the open sea.

Chapter I – “From the Motherland” opened with stirring melodies imbued with a profound sense of national pride. Songs such as Viet Nam Oi, Noi Dao Xa, Em Yeu Bien Dao Que Em, Xa Khoi, and Hay Giu Cho Hanh Tinh Xanh not only celebrated the beauty of the country and its seas and islands, but also conveyed a message about the shared responsibility of safeguarding the environment for present and future generations.

Chapter II – “Love of the Sea” offered a reflective interlude, inviting the audience to immerse themselves in the many emotions inspired by the sea. Through well-known songs such as Ru Em Bang Tieng Song, Bien Hat Chieu Nay, Bien Noi Nho Va Em, Tam Tinh Nguoi Thuy Thu, Thuyen Va Bien, and Song Ve Dau, the sea was portrayed as both intimate and poetic while remaining deeply intertwined with the daily lives and spiritual world of the Vietnamese people.

The evening concluded with Chapter III – “Reaching Out to the Open Sea,” where vibrant, aspiration-filled melodies served as an affirmation of Viet Nam's determination to develop a green, modern, and sustainable marine economy. Performances of Ben Cang Que Huong Toi, Mua Xuan Den Tu Nhung Gieng Dau, the medley Ho Bien – Dieu Ho Bien Dem, and the finale Viet Nam Tu Hao Tiep Buoc Tuong Lai formed an emotionally resonant climax, conveying the nation’s spirit of innovation, integration, and development.

The program's strong appeal was further enhanced by the participation of many beloved artists, including Meritorious Artist Quoc Hung, Pham Thu Ha, Ho Trung Dung, Duyen Quynh, Bui Le Man, Viet Danh, Thanh Thao, Truong Phuc, Lan Thu, and Hoang Hai. The art night also featured renowned performance groups such as Thoi Gian Group, Phuong Nam Group, the Contemporary Dance Troupe, HT Dance Troupe, and the Children's Ensemble of the Nghe An Cultural House.

Through the languages of music, dance, and contemporary stage performance, the program helped spread the message of environmental protection, natural resource conservation, and the development of a blue economy. At the same time, it sought to inspire a love for the homeland and the nation's seas and islands, while fostering a sense of responsibility among every citizen for the country's future.

As Viet Nam is making efforts to fulfill international commitments on sustainable development, climate change response, and environmental protection, "Viet Nam’s Seas – A Journey of blue Space" is not only an outstanding evening of artistic performance but also a meaningful cultural platform where art joins hands with the nation's aspirations for a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable Viet Nam.

Broadcast live from Binh Minh Square in Cua Lo, Nghe An, the art night truly became a highlight of the series of events held in response to World Environment Day, World Oceans Day, and Viet Nam Sea and Islands Week 2026.
