Tay Ninh welcomes investment wave of around 900 trillion VND

(VAN) On August 28, Tay Ninh Province organized the 2026 Investment Promotion Conference.

Expanding space, creating new growth drivers

Tay Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet stated that in the first six months of 2026, the province's GRDP grew by 10.12%, and its economic scale in 2025 ranked 9th out of 34 provinces and cities. Tay Ninh is among the Top 3 standout reforming localities in the 20-year Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) assessment and ranks in the Top 10 attractive localities for large enterprises.

To date, total attracted FDI capital in Tay Ninh has exceeded 26 billion USD, ranking 7th out of 34 provinces and cities. According to the Provincial Party Secretary, these results reflect significant contributions from the business and investor community, laying a solid foundation for the province to enter a new stage of development.

The Provincial Master Plan for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, has been adjusted toward a multi-center, multi-polar orientation, forming economic corridors and dynamic axes while enhancing connectivity with Ho Chi Minh City, the Southeast region, the Mekong Delta, and Cambodia.

Across this new development space, Tay Ninh aims to synchronously leverage advantages in industry, urban development, logistics, high-tech agriculture, deep processing, border-gate economy, border trade, tourism, and clean energy. Linkages among sectors are expected to create additional added value and sustainable growth momentum.

Tay Ninh Province continues to accelerate administrative reform, eliminate unnecessary procedures, and reduce time and costs for businesses, while concentrating resources on developing transport and energy infrastructure and strengthening inter-regional and international connectivity.

Alongside this, Tay Ninh prioritizes training and attracting high-quality human resources, advancing science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, and elevating productivity and product quality.

Priority investment sectors include high-tech industry, green industry, logistics, high-tech agriculture and deep processing, urban services, high-quality tourism, science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

Tay Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet affirmed Tay Ninh's commitment to accompanying businesses and investors. He demanded that cadres and civil servants elevate their sense of responsibility, serve citizens and businesses effectively, and ensure projects are executed efficiently to generate tangible value for the locality.

Never trade environment for growth

Delivering directive remarks at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau acknowledged and commended the efforts of the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Tay Ninh, while highly appreciating the companionship of the business and investor community.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that investment promotion efficiency is measured not merely by registered capital, but more importantly by disbursed capital, project progress, socio-economic efficiency, and the ripple effect of each project. For projects awarded decisions at the conference, Tay Ninh must designate a single focal agency, assigning specific leaders to directly monitor, direct, and assume accountability for implementation outcomes.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the province to create substantive shifts in the investment and business environment, transitioning decisively from an administrative mindset to an enabling and serving orientation. Administrative procedural reform must be tangibly reflected in actual time and cost savings realized by citizens and enterprises.

Regarding infrastructure, Tay Ninh must concentrate resources on developing strategic transport networks, enhancing intra-provincial, inter-regional, and international connectivity; using public investment to lead and activate private capital, and leveraging the province's geo-economic advantages.

In particular, the development of the Moc Bai Border-Gate Economic Zone and border-gate areas must be linked with logistics chains connecting border gates, production zones, and industrial parks with Long An International Port and regional seaport systems.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that attracting investment must serve growth model transformation, elevating productivity, technological capacity, and economic competitiveness.

Tay Ninh needs to develop local enterprises capable of participating in the supply chains of major corporations and FDI enterprises; linking investment attraction with technology transfer, workforce training, supporting industries development, and raising the proportion of localized value creation.

For enterprises and investors, the Deputy Prime Minister requested strict adherence to commitments regarding capital, schedule, technology, environment, and corporate social responsibility. Central ministries and sectors will continue to accompany and guide the province, resolving issues beyond local authority in a timely manner.

On the Government's side, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed its continued commitment to maintaining macroeconomic stability, strengthening institutions, and stepping up decentralization and delegation in resource allocation, while safeguarding investors' legitimate rights and interests.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed hope that Tay Ninh will not only sustain high growth rates but also achieve qualitative transformations in its growth model, turning its potential and advantages into new drivers to become a growth pole in the Southeast region and an essential trade gateway to Cambodia and ASEAN.

At the conference, over 90 works and projects were commenced, awarded investment registration certificates, and signed under cooperation agreements across transport, industry, manufacturing, clean energy, waste treatment, environment, clean water, education, and healthcare, with total investment capital of around 900 trillion VND. These projects are expected to generate fresh momentum, contributing to transforming Tay Ninh's advantages into productive capacity and sustainable development values.
