Germany's rubber industry is showing positive signs as raw material supplies gradually become more stable. However, cost pressures remain elevated. A survey by the European Rubber Journal found that the risk of short-term raw material shortages has eased, although most companies do not expect input prices to decline significantly anytime soon.

According to the German Rubber Industry Association (WDK), raw material supplies are currently largely secure. Nevertheless, the market remains vulnerable to volatility driven by geopolitical tensions, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz. The natural rubber raw material price index has climbed to its highest level in nearly two years, continuing to place pressure on manufacturers.

From a market perspective, export demand is considered more encouraging than domestic consumption. However, the outlook for a broad industry recovery remains fragile. Companies are hoping for reductions in energy costs and administrative burdens to improve their competitiveness.

Meanwhile, the Kuala Lumpur rubber market is expected to trend lower due to abundant supplies and weak speculative buying. Although oil prices have risen and geopolitical tensions remain elevated, analysts believe their impact on the rubber market will be limited. Favorable weather conditions in Thailand and Malaysia are expected to continue supporting production, helping maintain stable supply in the coming months.

Thus, global rubber prices on July 27, 2026 posted mixed movements compared with the previous day.
