In the global market, rubber prices continued to trend lower.

At the time of writing, RSS3 for August 2026 delivery on the TOCOM (Tokyo Commodity Exchange) fell by JPY 2.7 (equivalent to 0.64%) to JPY 419.8/kg.

Meanwhile, August 2026 rubber futures in Thailand declined by a further THB 0.8 (or 0.87%) to THB 90.9/kg.

In China, August 2026 rubber futures dropped by another CNY 175 (or 1.03%) to CNY 16,745/ton.

Global rubber prices extended their decline for a third consecutive session as supply increased and crude oil prices weakened.

On the Osaka Exchange (OSE), the December rubber contract fell 1.47% to JPY 415.1/kg, marking its third straight daily loss. On the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), the September rubber contract declined 0.83%, while butadiene rubber futures dropped 0.8%.

According to analysts at Shenyin & Wanguo Futures, rubber tapping activities are expanding across major producing regions, boosting supply despite rainy weather that has somewhat slowed harvesting. Typically, natural rubber production enters its peak season from June to September, following the low-production period earlier in the year.

Downward pressure also came from the energy market, as global crude oil prices eased amid expectations of renewed diplomatic efforts related to tensions between the United States and Iran. Lower oil prices reduce the competitive advantage of natural rubber over synthetic rubber, whose production relies on petroleum-based feedstocks.

Meanwhile, weak demand continued to weigh on market sentiment. A report from the Japan Exchange Group showed that physical buying activity slowed last week, while China's lower-than-expected economic growth further heightened concerns over the outlook for rubber consumption in the coming months.

Thus, global rubber prices on July 22, 2026 continued to decline compared with the previous day.

Rubber prices on July 22 domestically

In the domestic market, rubber prices remained unchanged from yesterday.

Accordingly, Mang Yang Rubber Company quoted fresh latex at VND 458-463/TSC, while mixed coagulated rubber was purchased at around VND 404-459/DRC.

Meanwhile, at Binh Long Rubber Company, fresh latex was priced at VND 540/TSC at the factory and VND 530/TSC at production teams, while mixed rubber with 60% DRC was quoted at VND 18,000/kg.
