On the global market, rubber prices moved in mixed directions.
At the time of the survey, the September 2026 RSS3 contract on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) rose by ¥ 7.1, or 1.6%, to ¥ 454.6/kg.
Meanwhile, Thailand’s September 2026 rubber futures edged down by THB 0.3, or 0.30%, to THB 87.8/kg.
In China, the September 2026 contract gained CNY 85, or 0.48%, to CNY 17,950/ton.
Global rubber prices edged down in Thailand today but continued to rise in Japan and China.
The Japanese market maintained its strong upward momentum, supported by a surge in global crude oil prices, although gains were partly limited by weakening domestic vehicle sales in China.
Thus, global rubber prices moved in mixed directions today, August 14, 2026, compared with yesterday.
In the domestic market, rubber prices remained unchanged from yesterday.
At Mang Yang Rubber Company, fresh latex was priced at VND 458–463/TSC, while mixed coagulated latex was purchased at around VND 404-459/DRC.
At Binh Long Rubber Company, fresh latex was priced at VND 540/TSC at the factory and VND 530/TSC at production teams, while mixed latex with a DRC of 60% was priced at VND 18,000/kg.
Vietnam’s rubber export prices continued to rise in 2026, benefiting from the upward trend in the global market as demand for natural rubber continued to exceed supply. Persistently high oil prices also increased synthetic rubber production costs, thereby supporting natural rubber prices.
According to the Customs Department, Vietnam’s average rubber export price reached $ 2,132/ton in July 2026, up $2/ton from the previous month and 31.3% higher than in the same period of 2025. This was the highest level in around 12.5 years. In the first seven months, the average export price reached $ 1,965/ton, up 9%.
Latest domestic and global rubber prices today, August 14, 2026
In contrast to the price trend, export volume declined significantly. In July, Vietnam exported 152,081 tons of rubber worth $ 324.2 million, down 26.2% in volume and 3.1% in value year on year. In the first seven months, exports totaled 788,006 tons worth $1.55 billion, down 12.4% in volume and 4.6% in value.
The decline was mainly attributed to the Chinese market, as exports to China fell by 27.4% in volume and 20.3% in value, reducing its share of Vietnam’s rubber exports to 58.7%.
Meanwhile, several other markets recorded positive growth. Indonesia rose to become the second-largest market, with export volume increasing more than 2.5-fold. Exports to India, Malaysia and South Korea also increased by 31.2%, 48.2% and 15.8%, respectively. Notably, exports to Mexico surged by 169.1%, indicating that Vietnamese companies are gradually diversifying their export markets.
Thus, domestic rubber prices today, August 14, 2026, are trading at around VND 458-540/TSC.
