A working delegation from the National Agricultural Extension Center conducted an on-site inspection of the custard apple cultivation and intensive farming model under VietGAP protocols in Dam Ha Commune, Quang Ninh Province.
The model was deployed in Tan Lap and Tan Binh Villages across a total area of approximately 8 hectares, executed jointly by the Quang Ninh Center for Agricultural Extension and Forest Protection and Development Management alongside the Dam Ha Commune Farmers' Union over two years, 2025-2026.

Participating in the model, local households received partial support for seedlings and fertilizers, along with technical guidance on planting, caretaking, and harvesting in accordance with VietGAP protocols. In Tan Lap Village, residents received 50% support for seedlings and fertilizers. In Tan Binh Village, support levels reached up to 70% for seedlings and fertilizers, depending on the planting area. Fertilizer support specifically continues through 2027.
Through inspection, the working delegation evaluated that participating households proactively coordinated with specialized agencies and strictly adhered to technical production protocols. Applying VietGAP standards helps control input materials, elevate product quality, and ensure compliance with food safety requirements.
Notably, the custard apple area within the model has begun yielding its first harvest. The produce features good quality, large fruit sizes, and an attractive appearance, fulfilling food hygiene and safety standards and initially bringing encouraging income to participating households.
According to a representative from the National Agricultural Extension Center, the VietGAP custard apple cultivation model in Dam Ha is highly efficient. The synchronized application of technical protocols contributes not only to improving product quality but also to laying the foundation for establishing safe commodity production zones, meeting increasingly high market demands.
In the near future, the model will be publicized, evaluated for efficiency, and replicated in areas with suitable conditions.
