Globally, pepper prices on June 5, 2025, dropped sharply in several regions.
Specifically, the price of black pepper (Lampung) in Indonesia decreased slightly by 0.04%, falling to $ 7,425/ton. Meanwhile, white pepper (Muntok) declined by 0.05%, settling at $10,124/ton.
In Malaysia, black pepper (Kuching ASTA) was priced at $9,100/ton, while white pepper (ASTA) remained at $11,850/ton.
In the Brazilian market, the price of black pepper (ASTA 570) plunged by 7.52%, down to $ 6,150/ton.
In Vietnam, export prices for black pepper with a density of 500 g/l stood at $6,300/ton (down 3.08%), and 550 g/l at $6,400/ton (down 3.03%). Export white pepper was priced at $9,300/ton (down 2.11%).
Globally, pepper prices on June 5 dropped slightly in Indonesia and remained unchanged in Malaysia. Meanwhile, Vietnam’s export pepper prices and Brazilian black pepper experienced significant declines.
It is notable that within just two weeks, Vietnam’s black pepper export price has fallen by $400/ton, while Brazilian black pepper dropped by as much as $650/ton.
Thus, pepper prices on June 5, 2025, in the global market are significantly lower compared to yesterday.
Domestic pepper prices on June 5 remained unchanged compared to the previous day.
