Party launches app on information and education

On the morning of January 16 in Hanoi, the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization held a ceremony to launch the Information, education and mass mobilization mobile application. Attending and delivering remarks at the event, Politburo member and Standing member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu affirmed that this was not merely a technological event, but vivid evidence of the renewal of the Party’s leadership methods in the digital era.

Speaking at the ceremony, Tran Cam Tu, on behalf of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation in Party agencies, noted that the launch of the application demonstrated concrete determination to translate the digital transformation policy into practice, bringing publicity and mass mobilization work closer to the realities of social life.

Against the backdrop of growing demands to provide official, accurate, and timely information, proactively guide ideology, consolidate trust, and foster unity within the Party and consensus in society, the introduction of the mobile app on information, education and mass mobilization affairs carries particular significance.

Tran Cam Tu emphasized that the application must become an official and reliable information channel, helping to deliver the Party’s guidelines and line, as well as the State’s policies and laws, to cadres, Party members, and the people in a swift, intuitive, vivid, and accessible manner. At the same time, it should serve as an effective tool for ideological work, enabling the monitoring of public opinion and the thoughts and aspirations of the people, early detection of new and sensitive issues, and emerging problems at the grassroots level, so that appropriate, targeted, and effective communication, mobilization, and persuasion measures can be implemented in a timely manner.

In doing so, the application will contribute to building a firm ideological foundation for the Party under new conditions, in line with the times' development trends.

According to the Standing Member of the Secretariat, the launch of the application is only the first step. More important is how it is operated to ensure real effectiveness and timely service to political tasks.

He called on the Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, together with relevant agencies and units, to continue refining the application toward synchronization, uniformity, user-friendliness, safety, and sustainability. Technology must serve people and political tasks, with no room for formality or trend-chasing. Each feature must be designed with clear objectives, clear target users, and clearly defined effectiveness.

In addition, information content on the application must be accurate, timely, in-depth, and persuasive, closely linked to national realities and the lives of the people. Editorial work, reviews, and information updates must be prioritized, as they are decisive factors in the application’s credibility and outreach.

He also noted that operating the application must be closely tied to renewing methods of publicity and mass mobilization work. It should not be limited to one-way information provision, but must strengthen interaction, listening, and dialogue, with the effectiveness of ideological guidance and the creation of social consensus as the highest objectives.
