The Ninh Binh Department of Tourism has recently issued a plan to organize the opening ceremony of the 2026 beach tourism season. This is a key event within this year’s Ninh Binh Tourism Week, featuring a range of attractive activities that promise exciting experiences for visitors. The 2026 Ninh Binh Sea Tourism Opening Ceremony is identified as one of the province’s major events, with a vision to become an annual activity that reflects the distinctive cultural identity of its coastal areas.
According to the plan, the opening program is scheduled to take place on the evening of April 28 at Thinh Long Beach Tourist Area, Hai Thinh Commune, with the participation of around 600 delegates, including leaders from central agencies, provinces and cities, tourism enterprises, as well as a large number of residents and visitors.

The highlight of the opening ceremony is a specially curated artistic program imbued with coastal cultural identity, blending traditional elements with modern performance.
As part of the “coastal opening” series, a range of accompanying activities will take place from April 27 to May 3. Notably, a destination showcase and summer 2026 coastal tourism product promotion program will be held on April 28-29, with the participation of around 150 leading travel enterprises.
A tourism, OCOP product, and coastal cuisine promotion space is expected to run from April 27 to May 3, featuring about 50 booths to introduce local specialties to both domestic and international visitors.
In addition, various cultural and experiential activities will be organized, including stilt-walking performances and a kite festival at Hai Thinh beach area.
The Ninh Binh People’s Committee is implementing a coastal tourism development plan for the 2026-2030 period, focusing on infrastructure development and the establishment of 2-3 strong coastal tourism brands.
Following administrative boundary adjustments, Ninh Binh now boasts several beautiful beaches with strong development potential, including Hai Thinh Beach, Hai Chinh Beach, Rang Dong Beach, Kim Son Beach, and Con Noi Beach. Among these, the Hai Thinh - Kim Son area is being developed into a modern coastal resort hub, combining eco-tourism, marine sports, and cultural experiences of local fishing communities.

Ninh Binh currently boasts a coastline of more than 92 km, opening up vast opportunities for developing its marine economy and coastal tourism. This strategic advantage enables the province to expand its tourism space from heritage areas to a resource-rich coastal belt, forming a diverse and attractive tourism chain that integrates cultural, ecological, spiritual, and marine experiences.
According to the plan, in the 2026-2027 period, the province will select several localities with beautiful beaches and good water quality to develop into key coastal tourism products, while also repositioning and refreshing the tourism brands of Quat Lam and Thinh Long. Two coastal resort models associated with community-based tourism and traditional craft villages will be developed in Hai Thinh and Giao Minh communes, Giao Ninh.
In the 2028-2030 phase, Ninh Binh will further develop distinctive coastal tourism products. Two experiential tourism models that combine craft villages with coastal resorts will be established in Giao Hung and Giao Binh communes, along with the development of 2-3 strong, nationally branded coastal tourism destinations.
The Ninh Binh Beach Tourism 2026 program, set to open on the evening of April 28 at Thinh Long Beach Tourist Area in Hai Thinh Commune, with the participation of a large number of residents and visitors, will serve as an opportunity to promote the province’s coastal tourism potential and strengths; introduce its tourism products, craft villages, and distinctive coastal culture; and stimulate tourism demand, attract investment, and foster sustainable socio-economic development.
