This year, Masan Group was honored in both categories: Outstanding CSR Activities (Social criteria) and Excellence in Corporate Governance (Governance criteria) at the Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards (Top 50 CSA), organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu magazine. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Masan has been included in this prestigious ESG-focused ranking and recognition.

Accordingly, one of the highlights of the company’s sustainable development efforts is a set of impressive figures in its journey to drive innovation for sustainability: 100% of its manufacturing plants are certified according to international standards—Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000, ISO 22000, and HACCP for food safety management; 100% of its key product or service portfolios are assessed for compliance with product information and labeling standards. At the same time, a Sustainable Supply Chain Code of Conduct has been issued and made public, establishing clear principles and requirements for responsible sourcing and supply chain practices.

Since 2023, Masan has established a Group-wide ESG Committee to manage issues related to sustainable development. The committee is responsible for driving the ESG agenda at the corporate level, while closely coordinating with business units and internal functional departments to implement and integrate sustainability strategies into business operations. This includes policies, processes, initiatives, programs, participation in ESG rating systems, and certification programs.
In parallel, the company emphasizes transparency in its operations and ensures that customers have complete information about products to make informed purchasing decisions. To achieve this, Masan has launched initiatives ranging from detailed product labeling and QR codes to enhance traceability, to product innovation and research.
For example, Masan MEATLife has successfully implemented a traceability system for its chicken, pork, and processed meat products, enabling customers to scan and access information about the product’s journey from production to distribution.

Masan’s R&D team constantly updates its technology to develop nutritious products through continuous formula innovation. In addition to their extensive experience, the Vietnamese expert team’s deep understanding of local consumers is a key factor behind Masan Consumer’s ability to launch products that are well-received in the market. Since its establishment in 2023, the "Consumer Insight Center" has actively engaged with the "Consumers in Love" community—a group of loyal customers who are passionate about Masan’s brands—helping the company discover new ideas and opportunities to introduce products that meet the ever-evolving needs of consumers.
Alongside its innovation efforts, Masan consistently prioritizes corporate social responsibility (CSR) through impactful initiatives aimed at supporting economic development, infrastructure, healthcare and nutrition, education, and community welfare. In 2024 alone, the company’s total financial contribution to these efforts is estimated at over VND 144 billion. These efforts not only contribute to local development but also provide meaningful financial and material support to communities across Vietnam.

Joining hands to upgrade rural infrastructure, Masan contributed VND 100 billion to Lao Cai Province as part of a national initiative to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing through the program “Shelter for My People,” organized by the Government and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Masan High-Tech Materials has completed five key projects, supporting the installation of clean water supply systems for local households—helping raise new rural standards and improve quality of life. Additionally, infrastructure efforts include bridge construction projects in Bac Lieu and agricultural irrigation initiatives in Ly Son, Quang Ngai Province, carried out by MCH to ensure that local farmers have access to affordable water sources for agricultural production.

Notably, in the area of healthcare and nutrition, the “One Million Meals with Meat” initiative—jointly implemented by CHIN-SU and the Upland Poor Students Fund—has contributed to providing essential nutrition for disadvantaged children, with a budget of VND 10 billion allocated for the 2024–2025 period. In addition, 35 heart surgeries for underprivileged children in Ho Chi Minh City were conducted last year through a partnership between MCH and the Ho Chi Minh City Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients.
