Invitation to attend Viet Nam Carbon Forum 2026: 'From Policy to Action'

Viet Nam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper (VAN News), in coordination with the Department of Climate Change and the Consultancy on Development (CODE), will organize Viet Nam Carbon Forum 2026: "From Policy to Action."

Forum details:

- Time: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., August 14, 2026.

- Venue: Le Meridien Saigon Hotel, 3C Ton Duc Thang Street, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

- Format: In-person and livestreamed across the multimedia platforms of VAN News.

- Participants: Approximately 400 delegates, including leaders of Ministries and Central sectors; representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; the State Securities Commission of Viet Nam; the Ministry of Finance; leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment; representatives of specialized departments and agencies; representatives of provincial and municipal Departments of Agriculture and Environment; enterprises engaged in emissions and emission reduction; associations and enterprises with carbon credit projects; banks and credit institutions; enterprises participating in the carbon market pilot program; international organizations such as UNDP, IFC, VERA, and JICA; and news agencies and press organizations.

The Forum aims to update, disseminate, and provide guidance to state management agencies, organizations, and businesses in Viet Nam on implementing new regulations related to the carbon market. The focus will be on Decree No. 29/2026/ND-CP of the Government and Circular No. 11/2026/TT-BNNMT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on the operation of the Vietnam Carbon Credit Exchange and regulations on managing and operating the National Registration System for greenhouse gas emission quotas and carbon credits, as well as Decree No. 112/2026/ND-CP of the Government on the international exchange of greenhouse gas emission reduction outcomes and carbon credits.

Beyond providing and explaining relevant regulations and procedures, the Forum will also serve as a platform connecting management agencies, policy advisors, reputable domestic and international speakers, and businesses pioneering in emission reduction. Through the Forum, stakeholders will exchange views and discuss appropriate, effective, and cost-efficient solutions to help businesses gradually access and participate in Viet Nam's carbon market, contributing to promoting the green transition and supporting the Government's efforts to respond to climate change.

Under the theme "From Policy to Action," the Forum is expected to help translate carbon policies into practice, connect management agencies with the business community, and gradually establish a transparent and efficient carbon market. This will transform emission reduction requirements into a driver for the green transition, strengthen competitiveness, and create sustainable development value for Viet Nam.
