Hanoi hosts 2026 agricultural and OCOP trade promotion fair

(VAN) The fair is co-organized by the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, specifically the Hanoi Agricultural Extension Center, in collaboration with AEON MALL Vietnam Co., Ltd.

To further implement the cooperation agreement signed between the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Hanoi People's Committee, and AEON Group of Japan, and in line with Hanoi's 2026 Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Program, the Hanoi People's Committee has assigned the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment to direct the Hanoi Agricultural Extension Center, in coordination with AEON MALL Viet Nam Co., Ltd., to organize the HaNoi Agriculture Fair 2026.

The fair will be held in two sessions at AEON MALL shopping centers in Hanoi. The first session will take place at AEON MALL Ha Dong from August 6 to 9, with the opening ceremony scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on August 6. The second session will be held at AEON MALL Long Bien from August 13 to 16, with its opening ceremony taking place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on August 13.

The HaNoi Agriculture Fair is an important annual agricultural trade promotion event that provides producers and businesses engaged in agricultural products and processed foods from Hanoi and other provinces with opportunities to promote their brands, establish business partnerships, and expand market access through AEON's distribution network in Viet Nam and internationally. The event is expected to contribute to increasing agricultural export value while supporting the sustainable development of the agriculture and environment sectors in Hanoi and across the country.

The fair brings together organizations, enterprises, and OCOP producers from Hanoi and other provinces to showcase a wide range of agricultural products, processed foods, OCOP products rated three to five stars, organic agricultural products, handicrafts, and traditional craft village products with export potential. All products displayed at the fair undergo thorough screening to ensure high quality, clear traceability, and compliance with packaging and labeling requirements.

The first session of the fair, held at AEON MALL Ha Dong, features 75 exhibition booths along with dedicated areas promoting traditional craft village products, themed displays, and photo check-in spaces. Nearly 80 organizations, enterprises, and OCOP producers from 23 provinces and cities are participating in the event.

Under the theme "Authentic Products - Great Prices - Premium Quality," AEON MALL Ha Dong is showcasing nearly 1,000 product lines, including cordyceps, specialty teas, dairy products, bird's nest products, vermicelli and noodles, coffee, seasonings, dried foods, agarwood products, honey, specialty rice, and other regional specialties. The products are displayed in the Future Hall and Nursery Hall exhibition areas.

Visitors to the fair can purchase certified clean agricultural products, regional specialties, and authentic OCOP products with verified origins; enjoy promotional offers on high-quality products from reputable suppliers; explore a diverse range of food products, agricultural produce, handicrafts, and local specialties; and experience the distinctive culinary flavors of different regions across Viet Nam.

Throughout the event, a variety of cultural and artistic activities are also being organized to attract visitors. These include product demonstrations and tasting sessions, traditional fan-making demonstrations by artisan Chu Thi Hang from Chang Son Craft Village, "to he" (traditional figurine) making by artisan Dang Van Hau, handcrafted clay flower making by artisan Duong Thi Huyen, embroidery demonstrations by artisan Do Van Son, the "Smart Teams - Green Agriculture Warriors" competition under the theme "Green Agriculture - The Choice of the Future," as well as a range of cultural performances and entertainment programs.

The second session of the fair will be held at AEON MALL Long Bien, featuring 55 exhibition booths and bringing together a wide range of enterprises, cooperatives, and agricultural producers from Hanoi and other provinces and cities.

Since its launch in 2019, the Hanoi Agriculture and OCOP Trade Promotion Fair has been organized annually, with 15 editions held at AEON MALL Long Bien and AEON MALL Ha Dong. Over the years, the event has received strong recognition from AEON Group, the Hanoi People's Committee, participating provincial authorities, businesses, and visitors alike.

The fair has become an important trade promotion platform, delivering tangible benefits to participating enterprises by enhancing brand visibility, facilitating business matchmaking, and creating opportunities for suppliers to become official vendors within AEON's modern retail and distribution network. It also serves as a practical mechanism for strengthening supply-demand linkages between Hanoi and other localities, fostering agricultural value chains, stimulating domestic consumption, and contributing to Hanoi's goal of achieving double-digit economic growth in the coming years.
