Golden opportunities for investment in the 'green lung' of the Central Highlands

(VAN) Chu Yang Sin National Park announces an invitation for investment in forest environment leasing for sustainable eco-tourism business during the 2021-2030 period.

Chu Yang Sin National Park has recently issued a notice seeking qualified organizations and individuals to lease forest environments for eco-tourism, resort, and recreational business development. This move concretizes the Eco-tourism, Resort, and Recreation Development Plan for the 2021–2030 period, which was approved by the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee under Decision No. 2495/QD-UBND.

The overall objective of the project is to conserve and promote the values of natural landscapes while harnessing the biodiversity potential, scenic beauty, and spiritual heritage associated with the cultural identity of local ethnic communities. At the same time, the project aims to create jobs, increase incomes, and improve the living standards of local residents, providing a foundation for attracting investment in eco-tourism, resort, and recreational development. The total forest area proposed for leasing to operate eco-tourism services combined with nature conservation in Chu Yang Sin National Park covers more than 1,991 hectares.

Potential and seven trekking routes to conquer the summit

Chu Yang Sin National Park is recognized as one of Vietnam’s special-use forests with exceptionally rich biodiversity in fauna. In terms of landscape, the park features nine types of vegetation typical of the high-mountain ecosystems of the Southern Truong Son range. It boasts a cool climate and some of the freshest air in the Central Highlands, along with many beautiful waterfalls such as Dak Tuor, Krong Kmar, and Buon H’ngo.

During the 2021-2030 period, Chu Yang Sin National Park is oriented toward developing two major eco-tourism zones and seven eco-tourism routes through forest environment leasing. The two key eco-tourism areas are Krong Kmar Waterfall Area (covering 1,750.71 hectares) and Dak Tuor Waterfall Tourism Area (covering 240.39 hectares).

Notably, the national park has developed detailed plans for seven eco-tourism routes with a total length of 72.94 kilometers. Three routes are dedicated to conquering Mount Chu Yang Sin: Route 1 (starting from Nga Ba Cay Xoai Eco-tourism Area, 9.48 km long), Route 5 (starting from the Dak Tuor Waterfall Visitor Center, 12.85 km), and Route 7 (starting from Yang Mao commune, 14.03 km).

The remaining four routes include: Route 2 (from the Environmental Education and Service Center at Huong Loi Junction, 7.39 km long), Route 3 (from Nga Ba Cay Xoai to the lake area toward Station 8, 5.58 km), Route 4 (from Huong Loi Junction extending deeper into the forest, 8.91 km), and Route 6 (the inter-regional route connecting Yang Mao - Dong Truong Son - Bidoup Nui Ba, 14.7 km).

Permitted tourism activities and services along these routes include nature exploration, adventure tourism (such as ziplining and kayaking), eco-resort stays (bungalows and glamping), as well as recreational and environmental education tourism.

Green investment policy and priority selection criteria

To ensure conservation and sustainable development goals, Chu Yang Sin National Park has established strict organizational principles in full compliance with Decree No. 91/2024/ND-CP. The investment policy emphasizes “green” and “sustainable” values, with core requirements ensuring that no harm is done to the forest ecosystem.

The park requires minimal concrete construction, giving priority to natural materials and modular, removable structures. Tourist capacity must be carefully managed based on each area's ecological carrying capacity. Investors must implement waste segregation plans and avoid discharging pollutants into the environment.

Furthermore, local cultural values, including Ede and M’nong traditions, cuisine, and crafts, must be respected and promoted as integral elements of the eco-tourism experience.

The selection of organizations and individuals to lease forest environments will be conducted through a technical dossier evaluation process, with a total score of 100 points. Chu Yang Sin National Park gives special priority to organizations or individuals already contracted for forest protection who have effectively performed in forest management, conservation, and biodiversity protection.

In addition, investors must have proven experience managing and operating eco-tourism, resort, and recreational projects and sufficient financial capacity to ensure on-schedule implementation. The project’s total estimated investment is VND 627.3 billion, of which approximately VND 575.88 billion will come from socialized (non-state) capital sources.

Selected investors are required to fully comply with obligations stated in the forest environment leasing contract, coordinate with the National Park Management Board in forest protection and biodiversity monitoring, and submit regular operational reports.

Application period: from October 22 to December 1, 2025. Submission address: Chu Yang Sin National Park, Hamlet 2, Yang Reh, Hoa Son Commune, Dak Lak Province.

This announcement presents an opportunity for visionary and dedicated investors to join hands in developing a green and sustainable economic model, transforming forest resources into a driving force for conservation and the development of Chu Yang Sin National Park.
