In total, during the first two months of the year, Viet Nam’s durian exports reached $ 146 million, up 177% compared to the same period last year.
China continued to be the largest market for Vietnamese durian, with export turnover of $ 135 million, up 398% year-on-year.
Among the top 10 markets for Vietnamese durian, China recorded the highest growth rate over the past two months. Export growth to China was more than double Viet Nam’s overall durian export growth rate.
With turnover of $ 135 million, China accounted for more than 92% of total durian export value, a sharp increase compared to over 51% in the first two months of 2025.
Following China were the United States ($4 million), Hong Kong ($2.43 million), and Canada ($1.1 million).
Notably, many export markets for Vietnamese durian, although still small in value and share, also recorded very strong growth in the first two months of this year: South Korea up 303%, Papua New Guinea up 266%, the United States up 243%, Australia up 68%.
