Global coffee prices today recorded mixed movements, with robusta rebounding after a 5% decline last week, while arabica continued to fall, hovering near its lowest level in 19 months.
On the London exchange, July 2026 robusta futures reversed course and rose 0.51% ($17/ton) from the previous session to $ 3,333/ton. The September 2026 contract posted a stronger gain of 0.84% ($ 27/ton), reaching $ 3,260/ton.

Global coffee prices showed mixed performance in the latest trading session. Robusta recovered after losing 5% last week, while arabica continued to weaken.
Ongoing harvesting activities in Brazil continued to put pressure on coffee prices.
In addition, the weakening Brazilian real has been unfavorable for coffee prices. The currency fell to a two-month low against the U.S. dollar earlier this week, encouraging Brazilian coffee producers to increase export sales and adding supply to the market.
According to Rabobank, “Global coffee production is expected to reach a record high in the 2026–2027 crop year.”
However, in the short term, farmers in Brazil, the world’s largest coffee producer, where harvesting is just beginning, remain reluctant to sell large volumes at current price levels.
Coffee prices today, June 9, 2026: Domestic prices edge lower, global markets mixed
ICE-certified arabica inventories fell to 412,422 bags as of June 8, the lowest level in six months. Meanwhile, ICE-certified robusta inventories dropped to a two-year low of 3,631 lots on May 15 and later edged up to 3,732 lots, but remain near historically low levels.
In the first days of the week, the market is attempting to recover part of its recent losses. Nevertheless, traders remain cautious about the prospect of more abundant supplies in the coming months.
Market participants also noted that the return of El Niño to Vietnam, expected from July onward, may have only a limited impact on coffee production because coffee trees primarily require irrigation during the dry season, which runs from January to April.
During the first five months of 2026, Vietnam exported 928,000 tons of coffee worth $4.2 billion, up about 8% in volume but down 13.5% in value compared with the same period last year.
Thus, global coffee prices on June 9, 2026 recorded mixed movements across major exchanges compared with the previous day.
In Vietnam, domestic coffee prices edged down by VND 100/kg compared with the same time yesterday, trading within a range of VND 84,500-85,300/kg.
Specifically, coffee prices in Dak Nong fell by VND 100/kg to VND 85,300/kg.
Similarly, prices in Dak Lak and Gia Lai declined by VND 100/kg to VND 85,100/kg.
Meanwhile, coffee prices in Lam Dong remained unchanged at VND 84,500/kg, the lowest purchasing price among major coffee-growing regions.
