The Agency of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported that, according to data from the Viet Nam Customs Department, the country exported 147,900 tons of coffee worth $ 642.5 million in July 2026, up 44.4% in volume and 15% in value from July 2025.
In the first seven months of 2026, Viet Nam’s coffee exports totaled 1.2 million tons worth $ 5.45 billion, up 10.4% in volume but down 11.2% in value year on year due to the sharp decline in export prices.
Viet Nam’s coffee exports are forecast to remain positive during the final months of 2026, with full-year volume expected to increase by around 8-10% thanks to improved supplies and stable demand in major markets.

However, global coffee prices could face downward pressure from rising worldwide supplies. Meanwhile, EUDR-compliant and value-added coffee products are expected to support export value.
The average coffee export price reached $4,552/ton in the first seven months of 2026, down 19.6% from the same period in 2025.
During this period, the EU and the United States remained Viet Nam’s key coffee export markets, while several Asian markets, particularly China, offered new growth opportunities.
Coffee exports to the EU accounted for 40.6% of Viet Nam’s total coffee export value, reaching 518,200 tons worth $ 2.21 billion. This represented a 15.8% increase in volume but an 11.2% decline in value year on year. Export volumes to countries such as Germany, Italy and Spain recorded positive growth thanks to strong consumer demand.
Meanwhile, coffee exports to the United States rose sharply by 36.4% in volume and 5.9% in value from the same period in 2025, reaching 84,900 tons worth $ 364.4 million.
Notably, Viet Nam’s coffee exports to China surged by 49.4% in volume and 72.7% in value year on year, reaching 44,000 tons worth $ 251.4 million.
With supplies improving and demand in major markets remaining stable, Viet Nam’s coffee exports are expected to maintain their positive momentum during the final months of 2026. However, as global prices face downward pressure, future growth will increasingly depend on the industry’s ability to meet sustainability standards, particularly the EUDR, while expanding value-added processing, improving quality and developing high-potential markets such as China.
