To enhance the value and competitiveness of key agricultural products, on March 3, 2026, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ca Mau Province issued a Plan to implement trade promotion activities and develop markets for OCOP products and typical agro-forestry-fishery products in 2026.
The plan is being implemented in the context of the local agricultural sector, accelerating restructuring to improve quality, increase value, and promote sustainable development. This is also an important step in connecting production with the market, helping Ca Mau’s signature products reach consumers more widely, both domestically and internationally.

According to the Plan, trade promotion activities will focus on strengthening connections, exchanges, and cooperation between enterprises, cooperatives, and production and business establishments with partners, distributors, and retail systems.
Through these activities, OCOP entities and agro-forestry-fishery producers will have opportunities to introduce and promote their products, seek cooperation opportunities, and sign consumption contracts, thereby expanding markets and increasing product value.
At the same time, the Plan also creates opportunities for local units to learn from experience and access effective models and best practices for developing OCOP products and safe agricultural products from other localities.
In parallel, market information collection, analysis, and forecasting are identified as ongoing tasks. On a monthly basis, specialized units will update the situation of production, procurement, processing, and consumption; monitor market prices; analyze supply and demand; assess risks and competitiveness; thereby providing forecasts that closely reflect reality.
Proactively capturing market information not only helps authorities manage and operate effectively but also supports enterprises and cooperatives in adjusting production plans accordingly, helping to avoid the situation of "bumper crops but falling prices."
In 2026, Ca Mau Province plans to organize and participate in several large-scale trade promotion activities. Specifically, there will be two participation events in trade fairs and exhibitions, two product display and promotion events, and one training course on e-commerce trade promotion.

Notable events include participation in the National Trade Fair - Autumn 2026 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi); participation in the 26th International Agricultural Exhibition - AgroViet 2026 in Hanoi; organizing OCOP product promotion and connection spaces associated with tourism activities in the southern region; and participating in a display of potential OCOP products in Ho Chi Minh City.
It is expected that about 40 typical products will be selected for display, including OCOP products, products from safe food supply chains, and local specialty products. These are products with strong market development potential and that meet standards on quality, safety, and traceability.
Notably, in addition to traditional trade promotion activities, the Plan also focuses on improving market access capacity through e-commerce. The training course will help producers and businesses gradually adopt digital technologies and effectively use online platforms for product promotion and sales.
The total budget for implementing the Plan exceeds VND 923 million and is funded by the local budget. The Sub-Department of Quality, Processing, and Market Development is assigned as the lead agency, coordinating with relevant units to implement the Plan.
Participating enterprises, cooperatives, and production establishments are responsible for preparing adequate products and documentation in accordance with regulations, ensuring quality, and coordinating closely with authorities in organizing activities.
With proactive and methodical implementation, the 2026 trade promotion plan is expected to help elevate the brand of Ca Mau’s OCOP and agro-forestry-fishery products, creating momentum for the development of a modern and sustainable agricultural economy.
What distinguishes OCOP products in Ca Mau is not merely that they are specialties, but that they meet standards, carry stories, and deliver added value. Many producers have boldly invested in upgrading production lines, expanding scale, and improving production processes toward safety and food hygiene standards, strengthening traceability, and designing more professional packaging. As a result, OCOP products are gradually winning over consumers across different market segments.
The province has also strengthened trade promotion, organizing and participating in numerous fairs and supply-demand connection forums. Ca Mau has established and maintained 19 OCOP product display and introduction points, allowing residents and visitors to easily access, experience, and purchase these products.
