Branding Ham Rong pennywort

The People's Committee of Thanh Hoa Province has issued Decision No. 2114/QD-UBND authorizing the Cultivation, Livestock, Processing and Indigenous Plant and Animal Conservation Cooperative to use the geographical name "Ham Rong - Xu Thanh" in registering the collective trademark "Ham Rong - Xu Thanh Pennywort."

The decision marks an important step toward building, protecting, and promoting the brand of one of the province's signature agricultural products, thereby enhancing its economic value and strengthening its competitiveness in the market.

Under the decision, the geographical area covered by the collective trademark has been officially defined and accompanied by a production area map, providing a legal basis for the management, use, and protection of the trademark in accordance with regulations. Associating the geographical name "Ham Rong - Xu Thanh" with pennywort not only affirms the product's origin but also helps promote Thanh Hoa's image, cultural identity, and distinctive agricultural products.

The decision also assigns the Cultivation, Livestock, Processing and Indigenous Plant and Animal Conservation Cooperative to complete the procedures for registering the collective trademark in accordance with the law. Relevant provincial departments, including the Departments of Science and Technology, Industry and Trade, and Agriculture and Environment, will coordinate to ensure the effective management, utilization, and promotion of the collective trademark once intellectual property rights have been established.
